Before the race weekend at Le Mans, find out when and how to see free practice, qualifying and Hyperpole, Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 June.

The 24 hours of Le Mans represent well more than just a race weekend. Like another major event, in this case the 500 miles from Indianapolis which runs over two weeks, the classic Le Mans is credited with a particularly rich format. On Sunday June 5, a week before the actual race, the competitors were able to calibrate themselves on the occasion of the traditional test day.

As to kick off free practiceit is given this Wednesday, June 8. The first session is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the second from 10 p.m. to midnight. Meanwhile, the whole board will have had the opportunity to really attack the stopwatch since the qualifications also take place on Wednesday, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.. The next day, the timetable is very similar. Thursday May 9all teams benefit from two new free practice sessionsone during the day, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the other in the evening, from 10 p.m. to midnight. In the meantime, only the best crews classified at the end of the qualifications of the day before will have the right to compete during the famous Hyperpole, from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. This is the final phase of qualifying practice, intended to set the first starting grid positions in each of the four categories of the WEC, the endurance world championship (Hypercar, LMP2, GTE Pro and GTE Am).
