For the first time since 2019, the meeting of 24 hours of Le Mans finds its traditional nichethat of the 24th week of the year. During the last two editions to date, the vagaries of the health crisis had conditioned a postponement of the event for a few months, respectively in September 2020 then in August 2021. The return to normal in 2022 results in a weekend of race held in late spring, in this case Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June.

After four free practice sessions, qualifying and Hyperpole, straddling the days of Wednesday and Thursday, the 62 crews benefit from a rest period on Friday. Driving resumes this Saturday morning with the holding of the warm-up, from 10:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.. As for the double clock tower, it begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday, and logically ends at the same time the next day. To see the entire 24 hours of racing in France, it is necessary to subscribe to Eurosportavailable on CanalSat and on the internet via the official streaming service Eurosport Playerat 9.99 euros for a monthly subscription and 69.99 euros in annual subscription. On television, the race is broadcast in full on the Eurosport 2 channel. Otherwise, the test is also visible in clear, but on certain time slots only, on the Chaine l’Equipefree TNT channel.
