Al Murabaa.net – Dodge is preparing to enter the compact crossover segment with the all-new 2023 Hornet, and instead of collaborating with Jeep as the brand has done more than once in the past, Dodge has decided to use the Italian brand Alfa Romeo this time.
The Hornet appeared during a recent test on public roads.. Dodge confirmed the launch date of the car next summer, after a year of rumors and various leaks, and confirmed that it would receive a plug-in hybrid engine.
The car will be based on the Alfa Romeo Tonale model, which was launched several weeks ago, and the two cars will share the chassis and most of the technical specifications.
Press reports indicated that the Hornet is equipped with a 2.0-liter hybrid turbo engine with 270 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, which is the engine used in a number of other Stylantis models such as the hybrid Jeep Wrangler, but there are no confirmations for the time being.
