McLaren appoints ex-Ferrari CEO as new CEO

Al – Bloomberg magazine sources have indicated that McLaren management is interested in appointing a former Ferrari director, Michael Letters, as the new CEO of the exclusive British brand.

Letters was Ferrari’s chief technology officer before resigning in December after appointing a new CEO for the Italian brand.

McLaren is currently looking for a new CEO for the brand after its predecessor, Mike Floyt, abruptly resigned in October 2021 after many years at the company for undisclosed personal reasons.

McLaren is trying to recover from a difficult financial year during 2021, in light of the decline in sales due to the Corona epidemic and strong competition from other super brands, with rumors spreading about the possibility of selling part of McLaren, especially the Formula 1 team, to the Audi brand.
