The Scuderia Ferrari has chosen to provide a whole new power unit to Charles Leclerc on the occasion of Canadian Grand Prix. The Monegasque is no longer restricted to 10 penalty places for a simple change of electronic control unitas mentioned at the end of the 2nd free practice session. It will fly from the back of the grid on Sunday for the race.

The Italian clan has chosen to equip single-seater n°16 with a new internal combustion engineof a new turbochargerof a new MGU-H and a new MGU-K. Thus, they make the decision to accumulate the penalties in order to cash them in one fell swoop on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuvewhere overtaking opportunities are numerous.
However, it remains to be determined whether Charles Leclerc will fly away from last or second to last place on the grid. Yuki Tsunoda has also chosen to equip its single-seater with new engine elements.
